The long winter offers many chances to take home the most exotic souvenirs of all; your very own

photograph of the mystical and unforgettable aurora borealis (northern lights). Try winter activities

such as snowmobiling, dog sledding or snow shoe walking and warm up in the evenings in traditional

log cabins with exceptional service. The trip includes domestic flights and an arctic voyage on the

trusted cruise provider Hurtigruten. Make sure you bring warm clothes for this one!

This journey starts in Bergen and ends in Oslo, but additional days in Norway's capitol, Oslo, can easily be arranged.

Arrival Bergen

Explore the old wharf of Bergen. Take in the atmosphere of this historic town, and imagine what life was like during the ages of the Hanseatic league. The old wharf of Bergen is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Accomodation in the buildings of the old wharf.*

Board  your Arctic winter voyage

This winter voyage takes you on a 7 day cruise up the coast of Norway. You start off the cruise with a buffet dinner prepared with the best food from the area as you sail into the winter night.

Waking up in the idyllic Nordfjord

There is just something special about going to bed in one place and waking up somewhere else. That’s why cruises fascinate people all over the world. Today the ship takes you out in open water for the first time. The evening offers a colorful presentation about the Aurora Borealis (the Northern Lights)

Day 4

Trondheim

Today you will enjoy the charming city of Trondheim, with it’s impressive cathedral and charming colorful wooden houses.  At an extra charge we will provide a tour guide for your morning walk. Board the ship again after noon.

Day 5

Crossing into the Arctic

Experience the special arctic circle ceremony if you dare. This is not for the faint hearted. As you cross into the Arctic, daylight is scarce but that gives you even more opportunity to experience the Nortern Light. Visit the reconstruction of the largest Viking building ever found and explore history in an interactive way as you take part in a real Viking feast.

Day 6

Tromsø - the gate to the ice

Reaching Tromsø will give you the opportunity to enjoy some urban life again. Tromsø is a vibrant city even during dark months of winter.  You may continue your hunt for that magical northern light while you go dog-sledding like they do on the real polar expeditions

Day 7

On you way to the North Cape

Standing on this plateau 320 mtrs above the ice cold water gives you the feeling of being on the world’s end. This is only 2.000km from the actual North Pole!

Reaching Kirkenes

Visit the surreal Snowhotel where we take a look at the Snowhotel suites and beautiful snow paintings designed by local and international artists.

Day 9 - Snowmobiling in Tromsø

Spend the day on an unforgettable snowmobiling trip or join a real northern light hunter if you still haven’t been able to get your shot of the dancing lady.
